5Perfect daily and travel watch  Nov 10, 2008
I had a similar watch for about 6 years that I absolutely loved; the soft plastic band finally broke, so I treated myself to a new one. I was glad to see the same type of watch was still available from Timex at a moderate price; the design is even nicer, since it has a sleeker, more feminine design. The alarm has been terrific especially when I travel. The digital face has big numbers that are very easy to read -- even at night, with the Indiglo feature. I would definitely buy this watch again -- and again.Timex Unisex Ironman Triathlon Sleek 50/100 Watch #T54281

2Terrible band and warranty  Nov 02, 2008
The watch's warranty makes you pay 7$ for shipping and handling if it has a manufacturing problem, which they usually do when inmersed in water for the first time. That in itself is a great business for Timex. Then the watch works pretty good for up to a year when the band falls apart and the water goes in. It is very dissapointing.

5Exactly as advertised.  Oct 28, 2008
I swim three days per week and wanted a watch I could see underwater- this works great, I also like that I can hit the button to light it up if I wake up at night and want to know the time.
I'm not into all the bells and whistles but somehow set the timer to chime hourly, which I find I like, (keeps me on track at work and seems to make it go faster!) The directions on settings was difficult for me- though my husband figured them out pretty easily- next I'll use it to keep count of my laps or pre set a timer so I'll know when the time I wanted to work out is up.
I have small wrists and this fits fine and doesn't look too bulky, though if you want to make a glittery fashion statement, this is not the watch for you.
Well worth the money.

4I'm on my third one: my favorite everyday/outdoors watch  Oct 21, 2008
There is only one thing wrong with this watch, IMHO: It lasts only a few years before I manage to kill it. During that time, however, it goes swimming, gardening, hiking, camping, and even scuba diving. It gets dunked in the water, shoved in the dirt, clunked with rocks, stuffed in a pack, crammed in a pocket with keys.... I can wash it in the shower or sink, and it doesn't retains dirts or mildew. FEATURES I USE MOST: two-time-zone feature for traveling; countdown for laps is also good for cooking, reminding myself to get up from the computer for breaks; three alarm settings rouses me from my computer when I'm so overfocused that I don't get up the first two times; indiglo helps me see it in a movie or a tent; and I can take it absolutely anywhere without worrying about breakdowns or killing it in the pool. It has also got a thin watchband, so I can get away with it with almost anything you'd wear in the PNW (except an interview). DON'T REPLACE THE BATTERY YOURSELF. You'd think it'd be a no-brainer, but I killed my last one this way.

4Comfortable, easy to set but alarm is too soft  Oct 14, 2008
This watch is great, unless you need a loud alarm. The alarm and timer beeps at a very high pitch and not very loudly. It is sleek, comfortable to wear and very easy to set. I especially like the up / down options when setting time / alarm / timer and the "restart" option for the timer. Personally I bought it for refereeing soccer but the alarm at the end of the timer countdown is way too soft to hear on the pitch. So I'd recommend the watch, but not if you plan to rely on it as an alarm clock or timer.
