In 1881, Kintaro Hattori opened a clock shop in Tokyo's fabled Ginza district. This store is the direct ancestor of today's Seiko Corporation of Tokyo, the parent company of Seiko Corporation of America. Established under the name of K. Hattori & Co. Ltd. The history of Seiko began with ten workers under Kintaro Harttori and the establishment of a clock factory at Ishiwara-cho, Tokyo. After two decades of mastering clock technology, the first wristwatch under the name of Seiko was made. A new watch factory was established. A year later in 1938, it produced 1,179,639 watches. In 1992, Seiko introduced its revolutionary Kinetic technology to the United States. Simple movement of the human body powers this watch, which requires no battery replacement. It was the first quartz watch of this kind. As an Authorized Seiko Dealer, WristWatch is ready to provide you with a large selection of colors and styles to choose from.
